From customer photo to dream garden visualization in 60 seconds: how auraVision is changing the GaLaBau industry

How AI-powered garden visualization helps landscape gardeners close more deals. And why craftview / KS21 is now offering this technology to its customers.

auraVision is an AI-powered garden visualization platform from auraNexus.ai that transforms customer photos into photorealistic garden views with real products from well-known manufacturers in 60 seconds. Five specialized AI models work together to create a professional visualization from a simple smartphone photo, in which the customer recognizes their own house, hedge, and proportions.

One photo, five AIs, one visualization

Imagine this: A homeowner sends their landscape gardener a photo of their garden. Nothing special, taken with a smartphone, in daylight, from the edge of the terrace. Lawn, an old terrace, a hedge around it.

60 seconds later, they see the same garden, completely transformed. A pool with natural stone surround, a pergola with rotating louvers from Warema, path lights from in-lite, steppe sage and Chinese silver grass in a well-thought-out depth gradation. And best of all, they recognize their own house. Their hedge. Their proportions. This is not a generic rendering, this is their garden.

That’s auraVision.

Why classic garden planning is reaching its limits

The German gardening and landscaping industry is a sector with considerable weight: According to the BGL Industry Report 2025, around 19,600 GaLaBau companies generated total sales of 10.65 billion euros in 2024, a new record high and the 15th year of growth in a row. 131,166 employees work in the sector, more than ever before. The private garden remains the strongest segment with a 57 percent share of sales (around 5.89 billion euros).

And yet, every landscape gardener knows the problem. The customer wants something beautiful, but cannot imagine what the result will look like. CAD plans are technical, 3D renderings are expensive and time-consuming. And Pinterest images always show someone else’s garden.

The real problem is time. It often takes days, sometimes weeks, before a first draft is presented to the customer. The landscape gardener drives to the customer, takes note of their wishes, drives back to the office, creates a draft, sends it by e-mail, waits for feedback, revises it. Two or three loops later, the customer may have already contacted the competition. Or the initial enthusiasm has simply faded.

The result: Customers hesitate, orders are postponed, projects shrink in budget. The emotional hurdle between “sounds good” and “yes, I want that” remains.

auraVision fundamentally changes this moment. Imagine the following situation: A pool or GaLaBau contractor is on site with the customer. They stand together in the garden, discuss ideas, point to corners and areas. The customer says: “I could imagine a pool here, and the terrace would have to be bigger.”

Instead of saying “I’ll send you a draft next week”, the GaLaBau contractor pulls out their tablet, photographs the garden and creates the first visualization together with the customer. Directly on site, in 60 seconds. The customer immediately sees what their own garden could look like. With their house, their hedge, their proportions.

This creates something that no PDF draft can achieve by e-mail: an immediate emotional connection. The customer does not experience the moment of enthusiasm alone on the screen, but together with their GaLaBau contractor, in their own garden. This is consulting at a completely new level.

And if, in the future, a first cost plan is also directly available through the cooperation with KS21, something unique happens: The customer not only sees what their garden will look like, but also knows immediately what it will cost. From customer photo to visualization to cost estimate. All in one appointment, all on site. This is faster and closer to the customer than anything currently available on the market.

Day view: The same garden after AI visualization After (Day): Pool, pergola, natural stone slabs and professional planting, all in the context of the real house.

Five AIs, one result

Behind auraVision is not a single AI, but an orchestrated pipeline of five specialized AI models that work together in a multi-stage process.

Some of these models take over the image analysis: They recognize the house, the hedge, the lawn, the existing terrace and understand what the customer wants to keep and what should be changed.

Other models are responsible for the creative translation: They translate the customer’s wishes into highly optimized instructions for image generation. This is where our proprietary methodology comes into play: a three-zone system that ensures that the environment is preserved, certain garden elements are deliberately integrated, and the transformation area is specifically changed.

Yet other models generate the final image, check the quality and optimize details such as material surfaces, lighting and plant representation.

The result: An image that looks like a professional photo, not like an AI-generated rendering. Which models are used in detail and how they interact is part of our know-how, which we have built up over two years of development work.

Night view: The same garden at night with lighting After (Night): The same scene at night, with pool lighting, fire pit and atmospheric garden lighting.

What distinguishes auraVision from other solutions

There are now dozens of AI image generators. What makes auraVision different is not the technology alone, it is the understanding of the industry.

Real products instead of generic elements. auraVision does not work with placeholders, but with real products from well-known manufacturers in the areas of terrace design, shading, lighting, pool construction and planting. Our product catalog already includes over 50 product lines from 20 manufacturers and is growing steadily. We are currently in intensive discussions with other manufacturers to expand the catalog and make the product presentation even more precise.

Recognition instead of wishful thinking. The customer must recognize their own house. Their roof tiles, their facade color, their hedge. Only then does the emotional connection arise that triggers purchase decisions. This is exactly what our three-zone system ensures.

Day and night views. A garden does not only live during the day. The automatic night visualization shows how lighting concepts work: a strong argument for higher-quality projects.

Professional planting. auraVision automatically suggests planting with depth gradation: foreground, middle ground, background, pool edge. With real plant names, heights and combinations that work in practice.

Data protection and data security. Customer photos are sensitive data. We take the issue of data protection very seriously and are continuously working to adapt our processes to the highest standards. The platform is hosted in Europe, image data is used exclusively for visualization and is not used for training AI models. We are in close contact with data protection experts to ensure that auraVision meets the requirements of the GDPR even with a growing range of functions. We are happy to provide business customers with detailed information on our data protection concept on request.

The cooperation between auraNexus.ai and craftview / KS21 extends this ecosystem by a crucial component: visual selling.

So far, GaLaOffice 360° covers the process from the point in time when the order has already been won: calculation, processing, billing. What was missing was the moment before: the customer’s enthusiasm that leads to the order in the first place.

Thanks to the planned API integration, auraVision can be directly connected to the KS21 cost estimate module (KVA). The workflow then looks like this:

  1. Create visualization: The GaLaBau contractor uploads the customer photo to auraVision and generates day and night views
  2. Select products: The materials and manufacturers used are automatically documented
  3. Data transfer to KVA: Product data flows directly into the KS21 calculation
  4. Create cost estimate: GaLaOffice 360° generates the finished KVA

This means: From customer photo to cost estimate in a continuous digital workflow. No other GaLaBau software provider has access to this integration. A real unique selling point for KS21 customers.

Who is auraVision made for?

For landscape gardeners and GaLaBau companies who want to take their consulting discussions to a new level. Instead of explaining for a long time, simply show. The conversion rate from the initial consultation to the order increases measurably.

For pool and swimming pond builders who can show the customer how their pool will look in the context of their own garden before the first sod is turned.

For homeowners who want to develop their own ideas and give their landscape gardener a clear idea.

The next step: auraQuote

auraVision solves the problem of imagination. The customer sees their dream garden. But one question always remains: “What does it cost?”

This is exactly where our next development stage comes in. With auraQuote, we are working on an AI-supported system that automatically generates an initial cost estimate based on the visualization. The products, surfaces and materials selected in auraVision form the basis. auraQuote supplements these with current price data, regional calculation bases and industry-standard effort values.

The goal: From customer photo to visualization to a reliable cost estimate in a single workflow. Not as a replacement for a professional calculation, but as a well-founded initial orientation that gives the customer security and accelerates the sales process for the GaLaBau contractor.

In combination with the KS21 integration, this creates a continuous digital chain: auraVision inspires, auraQuote quantifies, GaLaOffice 360° calculates. Three stages, one workflow, zero media breaks.

auraQuote is currently in the concept phase. We are in discussions with manufacturers and industry experts to build the database that is necessary for reliable cost estimates. Interested companies who would like to accompany the development process as pilot partners are welcome to contact us.
