auraQuote · Trade-neutral calculation

A quote remains a quote.

Why auraQuote also calculates for roofing, painting, and tiling. The engine remains the same; only the catalog is swapped. This is no coincidence, but the underlying construction principle.

01 / Principle

A quote is mechanically the same in every trade.

Core idea

"Digital tools do not replace manual skills, but they are a powerful tool in everyday work." — Jörg Dittrich, President of the Central Association of German Trades

This sentence hits the nail on the head regarding what auraQuote is all about. The tool does the math, the tradesperson makes the decision. And this calculation doesn't just work in landscaping.

A quote is mechanically the same in every trade: line item, quantity, unit price, total. Whether it lists a roof tile per square meter, a liter of wall paint, or a planting layer, the calculation logic remains unchanged. This is exactly why auraQuote is not tied to a single industry.

02 / Market

Why right now is the right moment.

The demand for professional quotes is rising, but the pace of businesses is not. According to the Bitkom Trades Study 2026, the gap between expectations and reality is wide open, and it won't close on its own.

89% of businesses say: customers
expect individual quotes
13 trades already
stored as catalogs
3 concept variants
from one measurement

Those who close this gap early gain an advantage. Only 4 percent of trade businesses are already using AI, another 9 percent are planning to, and only 29 percent have staff who can handle AI at all. This is exactly what auraQuote is built for: the technology is under the hood, but you operate it like a quoting program, not like an AI lab.

What stays, what changes — hands-on.

The core of every calculation is identical, whether it's for a garden, a roof, or a bathroom. You need an item, a quantity, a price, and a clean total at the bottom. auraQuote automates exactly this structure: catalog matching, completeness checks, concept variants, and standard-compliant data exchange via the GAEB interface. Switch the trade and expansion stage and see what changes (the catalog) and what stays (the calculation):

None of this is specific to landscaping. A roofer has different items than a painter, of course. But they have the same question: What does it cost, and how do I put it into a quote that the customer understands and signs.

Are you calculating in a different trade and wondering if this fits your needs? Let's discuss in 30 minutes what your catalog requires.
04 / Architecture

How the AI modules interlock.

Behind auraQuote is not one single model that does everything, but an interplay of several specialized AI modules. This is a deliberate architectural decision. A different model is suitable for text generation than for image analysis or the plausibility check of prices. auraQuote uses the best model for each task and is not tied to a single AI provider. If a model becomes better or cheaper tomorrow, we swap it in the background without anything changing for you.

Module 1
Text creation
Formulates service descriptions and quote texts clearly, in the language of the trade.
Module 2
Image Analysis
Reads photos and plans and recognizes surfaces, materials, and quantities for the measurement.
Module 3
Price Plausibility
Checks unit prices against empirical values and warns of outliers both high and low.
Module 4
Location Data
Enriches the quote with real geo and climate data for the project address. Provider-independent.

These modules extend beyond the pure quote. The idea behind it is a chain of three steps:

  • auraVision

    Inspires the customer

Turns a photo into a photorealistic visualization, with materials and plants from the quote.

  • auraQuote

    Quantifies the project

Creates a complete, calculated bill of quantities with concept variants from it.

  • Industry Software

    Processes it

Takes over the BoQ without loss, from order confirmation to invoice.

This chain is proven in landscaping today. But the principle is not: specialized AI modules that interlock cleanly, instead of an all-rounder AI that can't do anything right. This exact principle can be transferred to any trade.

05 / Data

When the address sharpens the quote.

A good quote knows not only prices but also the location. auraQuote incorporates real geodata from the project address and turns it into specific notes for the bill of quantities. In landscaping, this means climate zone and frost risk, sunshine hours and irrigation needs, plus a plant recommendation. In pool construction, terrain complexity and pool suitability flow into the calculation.

Sounds like the green and blue industries, and that's exactly what it is today. But behind it is a mechanism that is trade-neutral. The engine pulls external data for the project address via an interface and enriches the quote with it. Which data that is depends on the trade — climate and soil for the garden, other sources for another trade. The mechanics of the docking remain the same.

Three interchangeable modules

Catalog (changes per trade) and Data Enrichment (changes per trade) dock via the same interface to the Quoting Engine, which remains: item, quantity, unit price, total, concept variants, GAEB. This separation is the reason why the tool can be transferred to a new trade without rewriting the software.

Joint construction planning based on a floor plan
Every trade plans differently — calculations are made with the same engine.
06 / Breadth

Thirteen trades, one foundation.

The difference from trade to trade lies not in the engine, but in the catalog and the enrichment. Paving stones, roof tiles, emulsion paint, porcelain stoneware: these are the contents, not the mechanics. Today, the following are stored, among others: earthworks, paving, planting, turf, irrigation, fence construction, wall and natural stone construction, wood and terrace construction, pond and water, pool construction, lighting, drainage, and maintenance. The list is constantly growing.

Where the honest limit lies

I don't promise any painter that they can start this afternoon. As of today, auraQuote is proven in landscaping and pool construction. What remains industry-specific is the enrichment: in landscaping, plant data and climate notes; for tilers, perhaps laying patterns or joint width; for roofers, the type of roofing. Such details can be added, but they are the last thing missing, not the first. The promise is different: the architecture is deliberately built to be trade-neutral so that expansion is a matter of catalog and configuration, not a new build. A difference of weeks instead of months.

FAQ / Reference

Frequently asked questions

What is the same in a quote across all trades?

The mechanics. Every calculation consists of a service item, quantity, unit price, and total. Whether it lists a roof tile per square meter, a liter of wall paint, or a planting layer, the calculation logic remains unchanged. This is exactly why auraQuote is not tied to one industry: the quoting engine remains the same, only the catalog of the respective trade is swapped.

There are already AI quoting tools — why auraQuote?

Most voice input apps stop at the PDF. auraQuote thinks further: GAEB DA XML 3.3 in and out allows participation in public tenders and the lossless exchange of bills of quantities with planning offices, site management, and billing. The import reads everything from GAEB 90 to 2000 to XML 3.3 and all file extensions from .x81 to .x86. Added to this are concept variants instead of flat rates, location intelligence, and a multi-tenant architecture with strict client separation.

How do the AI modules in auraQuote work?

Behind auraQuote is not one model, but an interplay of specialized AI modules: text generation, image analysis, price plausibility, and location data. The best model is used for each task, independent of the provider. If a model becomes better or cheaper, we swap it in the background without any change to the operation.

What are the benefits of location intelligence in a quote?

auraQuote incorporates real geo and climate data from the project address. In landscaping, this means climate zone, frost risk, sunshine hours, and irrigation needs including plant recommendations; in pool construction, terrain complexity and pool suitability are factored in. The mechanism is trade-neutral: the engine docks external data to the address; which source is used depends on the trade.

Does this mean a tiler can use auraQuote tomorrow?

As of today, auraQuote is proven in landscaping and pool construction. Other trades are a matter of the catalog and some industry-specific details, not the foundation. Data enrichment remains industry-specific: in landscaping, plant data and climate notes; for tilers, laying patterns or joint width; for roofers, the type of roofing. Such details can be added.

Will my customer data remain protected?

Yes. auraQuote is built to be GDPR-compliant, with a multi-tenant architecture and strict client separation. Location data is obtained from verified geo and climate sources, not from personal data. The architecture also allows white-labeling for associations and software providers.
